The Rivermen ended their six-game road trip with a win against Rockford, and followed it up with a victory over Grand Rapids at home.
Mar. 13 – 2-0 L at Milwaukee
Former St. Louis Blue Brad Winchester scored the game-winning goal to help the Milwaukee Admirals hand the Rivermen a 2-0 loss on Wednesday night. Mattias Ekholm also added a goal for Milwaukee. Mike McKenna stopped 32 of 34 while both teams went 0-for-3 on the power play.
Mar. 16 – 4-0 W at Rockford
T.J. Hensick scored a pair of goals and Mike McKenna earned his second shutout of the season, as the Rivermen defeated the IceHogs by a score of 4-0 on Friday night. Andrew Murray and Andre Bouvet-Morrissette also added markers for Peoria. Sergey Andronov had three assists. McKenna stopped a total of 37 shots. The Rivermen went 1-for-6 on the man advantage.
Mar. 17 – 3-2 W vs. Grand Rapids
Taylor Chorney scored the game-winner 30 seconds into overtime to lead Peoria to a 3-2 win over the Grand Rapids Griffins on Sunday. Mark Cundari and Anthony Nigro scored goals for the Rivermen, while Mike McKenna made 24 saves in his 14th victory of the regular season.
