Report for the Week Ending Feb. 3
The Rivermen won the only game they played in last week against the Wolves to jump to third place in the Midwest Division.
Feb. 2 – 5-3 W at Chicago
Mark Cundari scored the game-winning goal with 59.3 seconds remaining in regulation to lead the Rivermen to a 5-3 win over the Chicago Wolves on Saturday night at Allstate Arena. Goals by Adam Cracknell, Brett Sonne and Chris Porter helped Peoria jump to a 3-0 lead early in the third period. Chicago would go on to score three unanswered goals to tie the contest with less than four minutes to play. Cundari then scored his third goal of the season from T.J. Hensick and Derek Nesbitt to give the Rivermen back the lead. Evgeny Grachev added an empty net goal at the 19:48 mark of the third frame. Peoria went 1-for-4 on the power play, while Chicago went 1-for-2 on the man advantage. Jake Allen made 33 saves in his 50th career AHL victory.
